Given recent political events the Middle East might not be high on everyone's list of must visit destinations. I certainly wasn't overjoyed at the prospect of a visit but once I began my research a Jordan holiday didn't seem all that much of a 'task'. Unlike its fellow Arab counterparts, Jordan doesn't have the natural resource of oil to make it a big player. Tourism plays a big part in Jordan's economy and the locals are very welcoming and passionate about their beloved country.
